2022 was a big year for my career, and this project was one of my favorites. ‘Gourmet Economics’ is a Toss documentary series
that explains how food trends in Korea connect to economics. It covers trendy topics like cheese, natural wine,
and specialty coffee to show how eating habits affect local and global culture.
For this project, I made the main visual style by combining simple illustrations with geometric shapes and data graphs.
I designed the full graphics package, including title animations, transitions, and text styles. In some episodes,
I also animated characters to explain stories like secondhand fraud and used bold subtitles to highlight key statistics.
The documentary became a huge hit on YouTube, and the team even published a companion book about it!
I was honored to design the illustration for the book cover. It was a very proud moment for me, and I happily shared the book
with my parents to celebrate what we made.
