In 2024, I created a 10-second animation for the SmartThings landing page on Samsung's global website. The goal was to showcase SmartThings’ main features quickly while keeping with the brand style.
I initially tried various visual ideas and made original illustrations to show a friendly smart home. After client feedback, we used official SmartThings materials to fit better with Samsung’s brand.
I redesigned the layout with the provided 3D objects and icons for a smooth motion flow. For the animated 3D hand and character, I worked closely with a 3D designer on rigging and directing the animation.
The main challenge was to clearly show several SmartThings functions, like lighting, air conditioning, and screen mirroring, all in just 10 seconds.
